Sascha Ferz teaches and conducts research in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution. As a lawyer, he focuses primarily on out-of-court dispute resolution, particularly arbitration, mediation, and negotiation, and the interfaces between substantive and formal law, as well as administrative and civil law. His research topics provide opportunities for international collaboration with universities in Freiburg, Rutgers-Camden, Vilnius, Kharkiv, Singapore, Brisbane, and Safet, thereby strengthening international connections.
His work at interfaces also connects him to the interdisciplinary Centre for Social Competence at the University of Graz. He is also a member of the University Advisory Board of the University College of Teacher Education Upper Austria and the Advisory Board for Mediation of the Federal Ministry of Justice, representing the Austrian University Conference. He is also a registered mediator (ZivMediatG) and a teaching trainer.
