Young Global Ambassadors from the Year 2015

Omar Karam

omarCurrently completing a Masters in Law and Economics at HEC Lausanne, Omar is a law graduate and a member of the Young Global Ambassador Program (YGAP). He participated in last year’s first edition of CDRC as a negotiator on Saint Joseph University’s team. Through his masters, Omar aims to grow his knowledge and specialize in corporate and business law by gaining an insight in the financial, economic and management aspect of corporations. He truly believes in the alternative dispute resolution process, as it is a cost and time effective, sustainable solution for business clients. He is a member of the YGAP because he wants to help promote commercial mediation in his home country, Lebanon.

Ivo Bari

ivo-bariIvo Bari is a Young Global Ambassador of The IBA-VIAC Mediation and Negotiation Competition. He secured the 3rd Position in the ICC Mediation Competition (2012) and the 3rd Best Negotiator Team in The IBA-VIAC Mediation and Negotiation Competition (2015). Ivo has also been the Assistant Coach to the FGV São Paulo team attending the ICC Mediation Competition (2014). Ivo is currently an Attorney, specialising in the fields of M&A, Corporate Law and Corporate Litigation. He is based out of São Paulo.

Nataliya Barisheva

nataliyaNataliya is an Associate in Litigation and Arbitration at Castaldi Partners law firm in Paris. She holds a Masters in International Law from Sorbonne University and has previously worked as a Legal Knowledge Manager at LexisNexis for five years. Native Russian, Nataliya is also fluent in French, English, Italian and has a good working knowledge of Spanish. She participated in the 10th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition as a Paris Bar School team member and also competed as a mediator in the 1st edition of the CDRC Vienna IBA-VIAC Mediation & Negotiation Competition in 2015 with the Paris Bar School team. In 2016, Nataliya was a coach of the Paris Bar School team in the 11th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition. She is a member of Young Global Ambassador Programme (YGAP). 

Stephanie Rohmann

stephanie-2Stephanie is a law and art history student at the University of Vienna where she specializes in civil litigation, arbitration and mediation. From August till December 2016 she will attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as a semester abroad.  Stephanie participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition in 2016 and as a mediator in the IBA-VIAC negotiation and mediation competition in 2015, where she won both special awards for a mediator. Additionally, she took part at the ELSA Summer Law School on Arbitration in Geneva and organized the ELSA Vienna Summer Law School on Dispute Resolution in Vienna.  Currently, she is enrolled at the “Global Advancement Program” provided by the Academic Forum of Foreign Affairs, where participants discuss current international topics with high-level diplomats, government and business representatives.

Ece Alper

ssEce finished her LLB in Istanbul in 2015. She currently works as trainee lawyer associated with Istanbul Bar. She participated in Paris ICC Mediation Competition in February 2015. Then she wanted to enhance her experience and created a University Mediation Team to participate in Vienna CDRC Mediation Competition in 2015, where she undertook advocate role. She is happy her team won ‘’Best Advocacy Award 2015’’. Ece wants to be mediation pioneer in her country and she is excited about all kind of developments in mediation. She searches for progress in mediation in many countries and maintains relationships with prominent mediators. Ece is very proud to be appointed as CDRC Young Global Ambassador. She aims to contribute YGAP as much as possible. Her areas of interest are Arbitration, International Private Law, Intellectual Property Law and Sports law. Žiga Perovic

zigaŽiga is currently a trainee at one of the Slovenian members of the European Parliament and has previously worked as a lawyer in the fields of banking, finance and M&A. He has quite some experience with the student moot competitions since he participated at Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court (as a competitor and as a coach) and ICC International Mediation Competition. He is interested in the broader field of dispute resolution, startups, finance and technology.

Katharina Sophia Zimmer

sophiaKatharina Sophia Zimmer is currently studying MSc in Human Resource Management in Dublin. Previously she studied Law in Berlin, including one-year studies abroad in Colombia, and absolved a mediation training course. Sophia worked as a journalist and as the editorial assistant for the German mediation magazine “Spektrum der Mediation”. She is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
