The Workshops

CEDR will deliver three parallel special workshop programs for CDRC participants to prepare students and coaches for the competition. All workshops are specifically targeted to the participants’ role in the competition but workshops are a pure skill development without any connection to the competition problem. All workshops are created to make participants familiar with each other and help them to jointly improve their skills and experience in a safe and competition-free environment.

  • CEDR Student Mediation Workshop

The CEDR Student Mediation Workshop will focus on the role of the Mediator and work on skills particularly needed in an international commercial mediation setting. All Students registered as mediators for their teams will automatically receive a slot in this workshop.

  • CEDR Student Negotiation in Mediation Workshop

The  CEDR Student Negotiation Workshop will focus on the Negotiators (Mediation Advocats) of the competition and provide training on negotiation skills for lawyers, ie persuasion, bid patterns etc. Students signed up in the role of a negotiator will automatically receive a slot in the negotiation in mediation workshop.

  • CEDR Coaches Advanced Mediation Workshop

The CEDR Coaches Advanced Mediation Workshop is an advanced mediation workshop for experienced mediators and will focus on professional skill development as well as the special challenges for coaches in preparation of a competition. All coaches are invited to join this workshop to share, discuss and bring in their own questions and challenges in preparing students for competitions.
